Some visitors complained that I only show pictures of me or others in the field,.. never in town! Here you are! -- In February 2006, I was in Germany to attend the Society for Tropical Ecology Conference in Kaiserslautern (Where some of the 2006 FIFA World Cup games are played). I made a stop in Frankfurt to say Hi to my cousins Noel. It was about -1 degree C. I was freezing but tried to keep the smile. It was not easy!
Bingo! Visiting Frankfurt with my cousin, his friend and a Benin colleague of mine: Hubert Adoukonou, Geneticist, PhD student at the University of Giessen (Germany). We stop to have the trademarked Frankfurt apple wine and have some hot dog,.. to keep warm! ahaha!
The organizing committee of the GTOE conference in Kaiserslautern University was great. They even had someone taking picture of the partcipant while giving their talk. This picture is not mine, but I retreived it from the website of the conference. My talk was on "The impact of NTFP harvest on the reproductive performances of Khaya senegalensis in Benin".
Freezing but still out to enjoy Frankfurt by night! I had the chance to meet with a high school friend (far right) of mine who is currently doing his MBA in Hamburg University.
