Using compass to set up plots
A student using a compass to set up plot while his colleague is waiting for his turn to learn how to use that tool. We were at Dogue, in the central part of Benin. We found a Khaya senegalensis population that was heavily pruned,.. but it was not debarked that much. I suspected that the population sustained logging in the past. The maximum diameter at breast height (dbh) we recorded in that population was 33 cm, whereas we got a maximum of 134 cm dbh in Barabon (W National Park)
